Whether to use 'used to drive 'or 'used to driving' is often confusing .
1.When we speak about a past habit we have to use 'used to ......+ verb '.
I used to climb trees when I was 10 years old.
2.When we speak about learning a new habit and about getting accustomed to it we use get used to +verb +ing.
I had to get used to climbing trees when I began doing research on cashewnut trees.
am /is /are/was /were+ getting + used to + .............?......( verb ? / verb+ing ?)
Answer :
3. am /is /are/was /were+ getting + used to is always followed by verb +ing or nouns
and pronouns.
will get used to + ...... ?
4. will /shall get used to ...... is always followed by verb +ing or nouns
and pronouns.
eg :1.) I am getting used to living in a hot climate like this.
Practise using He/She/You/ They / We ............
2.) She will get used to the climate by and by. (noun)
3) They found the noise unbearable first,Soon they got used to it (pronoun).
